… From the RSPB Cirl Bunting Project team –
Recent publicity about the Cirl Bunting project in Devon and Cornwall has resulted in cirls being nominated as Wildlife Success of The Year 2016 by Countryfile Magazine – it would be great for them to win as it highlights the efforts of farmers in saving a farmland species.
With all the uncertainty about how Brexit will affect agri-environment, and support for farmers wanting to farm in a way compatible with nature, anything that highlights wildlife friendly farming has to be positive. If you feel so inclined please vote on the link below (there are of course other worthy species up for nomination but it would be lovely for cirls to win!) –
